A Look At Alternative Therapies

Pioneers in medicine have used natural therapies for years, so whereas procedures may be new to traditional medicine, they are not really “new.” Doctors looking for success in healing people and getting the results that patients want have often gone outside to mainstream, looking for answers. Often, as conventional doctors see the success, methods that were once “alternative medicine” become traditional medicine.

Chelation therapy has been in use for decades. Antioxidants are introduced via IV drip to remove toxins and heavy metals from the bloodstream. More recently other IV therapies have been introduced. The advantage of IV drips is that they bypass problems with digestion. The remedies go directly to the blood, whereas a pill or liquid taken by mouth may not be absorbed.

A successful treatment for flu, pneumonia, mononucleosis, Lyme disease, tiredness, anxiety and stomach infections has been IV drips of high doses of vitamin C, B Complex, magnesium, trace minerals and glutathione. This is called immune enhancement therapy. It is also very beneficial for patients undergoing surgery, both before and after the surgery and has been used to treat cancer and other chronic illnesses.
